Sea & River Defence

Sea & River Defence

There are many features built around our coastal regions and waterways. Those features include sea walls, harbours, jetties, bridges, docks, piers and breakwaters just to name a few and not forgetting all the walls and weirs constructed along the river banks and tidal estuaries. A great number of them are constructed in stone. No matter how well they are constructed, given time ‘Mother Nature’ shall always prevail and these structures will always be in need of constant repairs. Access, tidal conditions and methods of construction make this a costly but necessary task as it protects our assets on land. These are some of the sea and river defence projects we have been involved in around the South West of England.
