As part of a major refurbishment at Keeper’s Cottage, we also had to carry out some work to one of its brick chimneys.

After all the work was carried out, the chimney looked liked this.

Keeper’s Cottage is situated within the deer park on the grounds of the historic Newnham Park Estate in Plympton, Plymouth. The chimney was in a pretty bad state of repair causing major damp problems within the property. The work involved removing vegetation, re-capping, new leadwork and re-pointing amongst other things.
